Sometimes. It depends on your plan and the type of testing. You usually have two main options:
1. Cash pay lab pricing through partner labs.
A comprehensive lab panel can be ordered via a participating lab partner. This helps eliminate surprise bills and keeps your lab costs more predictable.
2. Use your insurance at an outside lab. If you prefer, labs can be ordered and you may take that order to an in network lab such as a large national lab or local health system. In that case, any coverage, deductibles, and extra bills are determined by your insurance company and the lab. Often, patients may still receive a bill when they use their insurance, especially for specialized testing or when deductibles have not been met.
Before ordering labs, we will review your options, and the pros and cons of each path. The goal is to help you choose testing that fits both your health goals and your budget, with as few surprises as possible.
Some patients choose to submit receipts for uncovered, cash-paid labs to their insurance or HSA/FSA plans, along with diagnosis codes. Coverage and reimbursement are plan-dependent, so Discreet Health cannot guarantee if, or how much will be reimbursed.
